Analysis of the al-Nujaba Movement’s Positions in a Zionist Newspaper:

Jerusalem Post: al-Nujaba is still looking to settle scores/ A new campaign focusing on the Kurdistan Region

An Israeli analyst examining the positions of the spokesman of the al-Nujaba Islamic Resistance Movement stated that the Movement was still seeking to settle scores with those involved in the assassination of the commanders of the Islamic Resistance and that it might launch a new campaign focusing on the Kurdistan Region.

According to the website of the representative office of al-Nujaba in Iran, in a report by Seth Frantzman, a journalist and Middle East affairs analyst, the Zionist newspaper The Jerusalem Post analyzed the reaction of the spokesman of the al-Nujaba Islamic Resistance Movement to the recent allegations made by Mike Pompeo, the former United States Secretary of State.

In this report, in reference to Nasr al-Shammari’s interview with Aletejah TV, it is stated that the spokesman for the pro-Iranian militia Harakat al-Nujaba, known for being one of the most anti-American groups in Iraq and for carrying out rocket and drone attacks against US forces over the last three years, accused infiltrators in the Iraqi intelligence service of participating in the assassinations of General Qasem Soleimani and Abu Mahdi al-Muhandis.

According to The Jerusalem Post, the senior member of the al-Nujaba Movement, while denying any influence among those close to [Martyrs] Soleimani and al-Muhandis, pointed the finger at traitorous elements in the Iraqi government and called for the prosecution of those who collaborated with the United States in the operation.

Frantzman then referred to al-Shammari’s allegations that Kurdish security elements were cooperating with American forces based near the [American] embassy in Baghdad and identified the al-Nujaba Islamic Resistance Movement as one of the main suspects in the offensive against the embassy, as well as the rocket attacks on Erbil.

The Jerusalem Post added, “The spokesman of al-Nujaba also spoke in the interview about the Turkish military’s occupation of Iraq, possibly as part of a new campaign to target Turkish bases in the north of the country.”

 The Zionist newspaper concluded, “It seems that al-Nujaba is still seeking to settle their scores by intensifying their anti-American rhetoric under the pretext of Mike Pompeo’s comments, so it is unlikely that we will see a new round of attacks in the future, especially in the Kurdistan Region.”
