Representative of the Secretary-General of al-Nujaba:

Ayatollah Khamenei is the continuation of the path of Imam Khomeini and the spiritual father of the Islamic Resistance movements

The representative of the secretary-general of the al-Nujaba Movement of Iraq emphasized that the revolution of Imam Khomeini awakened the revolutionary spirit of the faithful youth of Iraq and that the Islamic Republic of Iran is now the valve of the surety of all Muslims in the world.

According to the Communication and Media Affairs Centre of al-‎Nujaba in Iran‎, Sayyid Yahya al-Shabbari, the representative of the secretary-general of Iraq’s al-Nujaba Islamic Resistance Movement, offered his congratulations to the Iranian people on the effects of the revolution of Imam Khomeini on the Iraqi people in an interview with Tasnim News Agency, saying “The great difference between the Iranian Revolution and other world revolutions is the existence of a comprehensive leader in which ijtihad (independent reasoning) and wilayah (guardianship) are gathered. Also, another important issue that played an important role in the victory and distinction of the Iranian Revolution is the awareness and awakening of its field commanders, who are currently leading the Islamic Resistance battalions.”

He continued, “We consider Ayatollah Sayyed Ali Khamenei to be following in the footsteps of Imam Khomeini and he is now the spiritual father of all the Islamic Resistance movements across the globe. I must say that the Iranian Revolution has a very important strategy, which is the continuation of its leadership and caliphate.”

He called the Islamic Republic of Iran a safety valve for the Muslims of the world and said, “The Islamic Revolution of Iran has had a tremendous impact on the countries and nations of the region, which every believer and person who is aware of this issue will realize. The Islamic Republic of Iran is now a safety valve for Muslims around the world and I can boldly say that it is a stronghold of Muslims, and especially the Shi’ahs of the world.”

In another part of his speech, Sayyid al-Shabbari emphasized, “As the representative of the secretary-general of Iraq’s al-Nujaba Movement (one of the branches of the Popular Mobilization Forces), I emphasize that if the Islamic Republic of Iran was not led by Ayatollah Sayyed Ali Khamenei, we would see traces of Shi’ism in Iraq and other countries but perhaps no trace of religious sanctities will remain. The Islamic Republic of Iran is led by Ayatollah Sayyed Ali Khamenei, who defends Islamic sanctities and Muslims.”

Regarding the impact of the Iranian Revolution on the Iraqi youth, he said, “Imam Khomeini’s revolution awakened the revolutionary spirit of the faithful youth in Iraq. They carried out many revolutions against the Iraqi dictator but unfortunately, all of them were severely suppressed. It has raised awareness and awakened the people. Thanks to this revolution, many Islamic Resistance groups were formed that carried out numerous operations against the dictatorial regime in Iraq.”

Referring to the security situation in Iraq during the deportation of Imam Khomeini, the representative of the secretary-general of the Iraqi al-Nujaba Movement said, “At that time, Iraq was in a state of severe security suffocation and the Ba’athist regime’s security apparatus was so active that we even at home, we did not dare to say a word but Imam Khomeini’s revolution awakened the minds and hearts of the Iraqi youth and created the will and spirit of courage in them. At that time, we read some of Imam Khomeini’s books and secretly handed them over to those who possessed Imam Khomeini’s books, despite the death sentence being imposed on them.”
