Secretary-General of al-Nujaba to Ibrahim al-Jaafari:

Maintain a victorious image of Iraq in international circles

During a meeting with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Iraq, Hujjat al-Islam al-Kaabi criticized the government’s diplomacy and called for maintaining a victorious image of the country in international relations.

According to the Communication and Media Affairs Centre of al-‎Nujaba in Iran‎, Hujjat al-Islam Akram al-Kaabi, the secretary-general of the al-Nujaba Islamic Resistance movement, met with Ibrahim al-Jaafari, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Iraq, at the headquarters of the Iraqi Ministry of Foreign Affairs this morning (March 29, 2018).

The two sides discussed the latest political and security developments in Iraq.

Hujjat al-Islam al-Kaabi stressed the need for Baghdad to take a firm stand against any international sabotage, saying that the victorious image of Iraq must be maintained by the authorities in foreign circles.

He stressed the need to prevent the distortion of Iraq’s victories against the countries of the region and the world, adding, “This is an important responsibility of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and it must fulfill it through its embassies and consulates.”

In conclusion, the secretary-general of al-Nujaba also referred to the conspiracy of the enemies for the instability of Iraq after the destruction of the self-proclaimed government of Daesh and said, “The government must respond to any plan by the foreigners for political and security purposes.”
