HI al-Kaabi in al-Manar Studio:

We are ready for war with the US | We do not blame Kurds for Barzani’s mistake

Speaking on a live program on Lebanon’s al-Manar, network, Hujjat al-Islam al-Kaabi strongly criticized the destructive role of the Western-Arab coalition in the developments in Iraq and warned about the continuation of mischief, saying, “If the United States’ abuses continue, we are ready to target them.”

According to the Communication and Media Affairs Centre of al-‎Nujaba in Iran‎, during a visit to Lebanon, Hujjat al-Islam Akram al-Kaabi, the secretary-general of al-Nujaba, spoke on a live program studio on the al-Manar television network and referred to the negative propaganda of dissident media against Iraq’s Popular Mobilization Forces, saying, “Any area in which the Popular Mobilization Forces played a role in its liberation has suffered less damage and destruction.”

The senior commander of the Islamic resistance forces added, “The Popular Mobilization ‎Forces is an official organization and part of the Iraqi governing body, which is useless to pressure and the Iraqi people are its main supporter. Although we do not agree with all the policies of the government, we support and defend Baghdad’s political-military projects in the fight against Daesh.”

He stated that the Americans are not allowed to interfere in the internal affairs of Iraq, especially the Popular Mobilization ‎Forces and added, “They tried to ride the wave of the conquests of the Popular Mobilization ‎Forces and the Iraqi army and expropriate the victories in their favour. However, in order to prevent the defeat of the terrorists, they considered a long schedule for the operation in order to manage the sphere of operations in this way.”

Explaining the Americans’ mischief, Hujjat al-Islam al-Kaabi‎ said, “They bombed the positions of the Popular Mobilization ‎Forces in northern Tikrit, near the base of the al-Nujaba warriors, and then claimed that the attack had been carried out by mistake! Of course, we were prepared to target them‎ if these attacks and obstructions by the United States against the operation to liberate Tikrit continue to target them. They withdrew from the region themselves.”

His Eminence continued, “Some of the tribal groups and tribal mobilized forces – which were trained by the Americans at the Ayn al-Asad Airbase and used by Washington to further its goals – are not under the control of the Iraqi Popular Mobilization ‎Forces ‎at all and some of the false accusations levelled against the Popular Mobilization ‎Forces ‎ are the result of the abusive behaviour of the mentioned groups.”

He pointed to the effectiveness of the Islamic resistance fighters in thwarting the evil plans of the terrorists and said, “The Popular Mobilization ‎Forces ‎thwarted the United States’ plans in Iraq and is therefore considered an ‘undesirable element’ by the United States. The Islamic resistance groups are fully prepared to retaliate in the event of an attack by the belligerent United States.”

Hujjat al-Islam al-Kaabi also spoke about the great and important victories achieved in the west of al-Anbar Governorate and explained, “The town of Rawah and the city of al-Qa’im are under complete siege and have fallen militarily in favour of the Islamic resistance. At the same time, the Americans are blatantly transporting Daesh terrorists from the city of Raqqah and elsewhere.”

His Eminence called the American coalition suspicious and the cause of the destruction of Iraq and regarding the background of the crisis in Kurdistan, he stated, “With the support of the United States and Israel, [Masoud] Barzani sought to transform the concept of patriotism into obedience to the United States and Israel. With a history of collaborating with Saddam in the massacre of the Kurdish people, he tries to convince the Kurds that the Arabs are their enemy. This is the same plan of Saudi Arabia and the United States to change the concept of patriotism among the Kurdish people.”

He also praised the honourable position of patriotic parties in Kurdistan, which, with the support of the central government, prevented the realization of the colonialists’ will, adding, “The genuine Kurdish nation was caught up in two types of dictatorships by Saddam and Barzani. They are part of the zealous nation of Iraq, and the mistake of Barzani and his party will not be blamed on all Kurds. Barzani and his prime minister have made it clear that their government will be an ally of Israel, and that commanders of Daesh and the Ba’ath party in Erbil are currently working alongside the United States’ intelligence service under Barzani. Meanwhile, according to Iranian and Turkish officials, the group is still smuggling Iraqi oil.”

In conclusion, Hujjat al-Islam al-Kaabi ‎criticized the negative role of the Saudi regime in the developments in Iraq, saying, “[Thamir] al-Sabhan (the former Saudi ambassador to Iraq) clearly acted as a spy, and now Riyadh is trying to institutionalize the enmity between Iran and Iraq and infiltrate our country with a new scheme.”
