In response to the remarks by the US Secretary of State:

al-Nujaba spokesman: Tillerson admits his strategic defeat in region | Baghdad’s silence is not allowed

Sayyid al-Musawi said Tillerson must acknowledge his strategic failure in the region, denying the Iraqi government’s silence and urging Baghdad to respond authoritatively to the allegations.

According to the Communication and Media Affairs Centre of al-‎Nujaba in Iran‎, Sayyid Hashim al-Hashimi, the official spokesman of al-Nujaba, responded to the recent remarks by the United States Secretary of State, Rex Tillerson and said, “Tillerson must admit his strategic failure in the region and give up these words.”

Referring to the United States’ policy of hypocrisy, he said, “The new administration in the United States is interacting with Iraq through political hypocrisy and its plan to destroy the region has become clear to everyone.”

He added that the United States and its terrorists (including Daesh) must leave the region.

The official spokesman for al-Nujaba said that Iraq’s Popular Mobilization Forces had thwarted terrorist plots and added, “The Popular Mobilization Forces had become an obstacle to American colonialism.”

Sayyid al-Musawi concluded by emphasizing the need for the Iraqi government to take a strong position, saying, “Baghdad must respond to the false accusations and it is not permissible to remain silent about this.”
