In Response to Bloody Thursday in Iraq:

Secretary-General of al-Nujaba: The painful incident in al-Nasiriyah must not be ignored without punishing the perpetrators

 

Following two terrorist incidents in Iraq’s Dhi Qar Governorate, Hujjat al-Islam Akram al-Kaabi issued a message calling for the perpetrators of this painful loss to be punished.

 

According to the Communication and Media Affairs Centre of al-‎Nujaba in Iran‎, Hujjat al-Islam Akram al-Kaabi, the secretary-general of al-Nujaba, reacted to the reports of two terrorist incidents in the city of al-Nasiriyah, located in the southern Iraqi governorate of Dhi Qar, that killed and injured more than 170 people, including a number of Iranian pilgrims.

In a message condemning this painful loss, His Eminence described the people of al-Nasiriyah as “unforgettable fighters against the American occupiers.”

He said that politicians who support Daesh are behind all the evils and added, “This painful incident must not be ignored without punishing its perpetrators.”

Hujjat al-Islam al-Kaabi noted, “Such events make us more determined to continue the operation to liberate the Iraqi territories, pursue the blind hearted Takfiris and secret groups, their supporters, and their friends.”

Based on this news, the full text of Hujjat al-Islam al-Kaabi’s message is as follows:

 

In the Name of God, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful

“Indeed we belong to God and to Him do we indeed return” [The Holy Quran 2:156]

“…And the wrongdoers will soon know at what goal they will end up” [The Holy Quran 26:227]

My condolences to the zealous people of Iraq and the families of the martyrs who were martyred in the painful and brutal incident in the city of al-Nasiriyah, the city of jihad and warriors.

The youth of this city played a great role in defending the sanctities, territorial integrity and unity of Iraq because the people of al-Nasiriyah taught them an unforgettable lesson in the fight against the American occupiers.

They also sent large numbers of their children to the battlefields to liberate areas occupied by Daesh, and their bravery, struggles and attacks astonished even the enemies.

This painful incident must not be ignored without punishing its perpetrators, and such incidents make us more determined to continue the operation to liberate the Iraqi territories, pursue the blind hearted Takfiris and secret groups, their supporters and friends.

We will not rest until we liberate all the occupied cities and expel the politicians who support Daesh and who are behind all the evils.
