Secretary-General of al-Nujaba:          

We will not allow the US to attack our forces | al-Nujaba’s response will be overwhelming

 

In an interview with al-Alam News, Hujjat al-Islam al-Kaabi stressed, “We will not allow the United States to attack our forces in Iraq and Syria and our response will be overwhelming.”

 

According to the Communication and Media Affairs Centre of al-‎Nujaba in Iran‎, Hujjat al-Islam Akram al-Kaabi, the secretary-general of al-Nujaba, was interviewed by al-Alam News and said, “One of the goals of the al-Nujaba movement is to fight oppression in Iraq and the world and most of its leaders are fighters against the Ba’athist regime in Iraq.”

His Eminence continued, “The al-Nujaba Islamic Resistance Movement was formed with the support of the Islamic Seminaries, the religious authorities and the revolutionary spirit of the people to fight against Saddam’s oppression.”

Regarding the activities of this resistance group, he said, “In addition to military and media activities, this movement has also established cultural and civil institutions.”

In another part of his speech regarding the presence of the Popular Mobilization Forces in the operation to liberate Tal Afar, Hujjat al-Islam al-Kaabi said, “Despite international pressure, especially from the United States, Turkey and Saudi Arabia, the Popular Mobilization Forces will be active in the operation to liberate Tal Afar.”

The outstanding commander of Iraq’s Popular Mobilization Forces said that he does not think that the liberation of Tal Afar will take more than a month and said, “The operation to liberate Tal Afar is fully designed and all groups participating in the operation are fully prepared.”

He clarified, “All groups supporting terrorists are trying to prevent the presence of the Popular Mobilization Forces in Operation Tal Afar because prominent Daesh leaders are there and intend to escape.”

Regarding the presence of al-Nujaba forces in Syria, Hujjat al-Islam al-Kaabi said, “These forces are not part of the Popular Mobilization Forces.”

His Eminence added, “The United States fears their presence in the area between Mosul and al-Raqqah because it has suffered a lot of damage in this area.”

Regarding the purpose of the United States presence in the region, he said, “The United States is trying to establish a buffer zone between Iraq and Syria to protect its interests and those of Israel in the region.”

Hujjat al-Islam al-Kaabi hoped that the Iraqi government would not fall under the United States’ military training contracts, adding, “We call on the Iraqi government to use the Popular Mobilization Forces instead of the foreign security companies backed by Israel and the United States and not to cooperate with foreign security companies.”

In another part of the interview, His Eminence stated, “We warn the United States not to target our forces directly or indirectly, and if this happens again, we will attack American interests as far as our missile capability allows.”

“We will not allow the United States to attack our forces in Iraq and Syria and our response will be overwhelming,” he said.

Hujjat al-Islam al-Kaabi said that Iraq needs strong political positions to prevent the return of Daesh and added, “We support democracy in Iraq and we have good relations with Haydar al-Abadi [the Prime Minister of Iraq].”

He added, “We warn against the return of Daesh under other names and we will not allow this to happen.”

In the final part of his speech, Hujjat al-Islam al-Kaabi stressed that it is illogical to distinguish between the Sunni and Shi’ah Popular Mobilization Forces, “The United States, Saudi Arabia and Qatar supported the seditious sit-down strike in al-Anbar.”
